Twenty Seven, an age many of us remember; but some were not so fortunate.  E11even 2 will remind everyone, with art, why life is so precious in their next exhibit entitled 27.  Works will feature musicians who passed away at the early age of 27 years old.  The opening reception will be Friday May 20th from 5p-9p.

Letting Off Steam…. Punk!

Here is artist David Bellisario with his piece “Sonic Transducer”.  This is one of many skateboards transformed in to a work of art for the Board to Death: Skateboard Art Exhibit.  Bellisario has used his musical influence and fascination for mechanical devices in his steampunk guitar.  He says “no, it doesn’t really play… but it sure looks cool hanging on the wall.”  Bellisario and 30 other artists will be featured in the Board to Death exhibit on August 15th, as part of the 78th Street 3rd Friday events.  This event is free and open to the public.  Guests will also have a chance to win 1 of 2 signed prints by the participating artists.
